One strategy that I intend to employ will be placing my desk in the middle of the classroom. I really haven't thought through the logistics yet, but it stands to reason that if I am amidst the students that misconduct can be deterred. Anyone with ideas?
I would be afraid that my back would be to part of the students at somepoint in time. Not all the time because I know we don't sit at our desks much (Cough). However, it is still a concern.
ReplyDeleteI don't think that I will have students sitting behind me. I am concerned, too, with privacy issues. I am going to give it a try and see how it works.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of being in the middle of class, but I wonder about having students behind me. I like to be able to see all of my class at any given time. I wonder what compromise could be reached.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of being in the middle of the room but concerned that all the plug-ins are on the wall. I am not sure if I want my computer or other electronics exposed to students.
